Photo “Kluchevskoy Volcano” is the finalist of the XIX Edition of "Memorial Maria Luisa" 2008 photo contest in Spain.

The other photo “Pink and Green" has won a special award "Planet Earth 2008" at the same competition.

Photograph “Kluchevskoy Volcano” was taken on the Kamchatka Peninsula of Russia, in September, 2005 during the around-the-world expedition of the author, sponsored by Ms. Alena Kolchina, the entrepreneur and art lower from London, UK.

The shooting time is early morning, between 5 and 6 AM. The distance from the cameraman to the group of Kluchevskoy volcanoes is 68 km. It is photographed from another volcano plateau. In the foreground - dead wood the victim of the volcano eruption and the dead zone formed from mud lodging descended from a volcano which is located behind the photographer.
