Mars & Moon
The Master takes on Mars!
The American National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) allows to any scientist select objects on Mars for subsequent photography with high-resolution cameras operating in a low orbit of the planet. The HiRISE camera is set on a satellite and has a resolution of 12" (30 cm.) in one pixel. The choice should be so reasonable, that NASA would be able to conduct a photo session, because as of today this photo session is the most expensive in the world. Sergey Melnikoff is one of those people who are actively participating in this scientific program. Dr. Melnikoff’s proposal can be found HERE.
And “On the Moon”
A splendid panoramic picture of the night sky with a bloody lunar eclipse!
At night, on December 21st of 2010 from the Caribbean Sea people observed a unique natural phenomenon – a full lunar eclipse that lasted 72 minutes! The next eclipse of our moon will only be in 2014.
As always, the weather was very favorable towards Dr. Melnikoff – there wasn’t a single cloud in the sky. The filming was done from the southern tip of the Florida peninsula with a Fuji GX617 and high-aperture optics in a reversible film.
After processing the film, Melnikoff Gallery is offering only one print with a certificate of authenticity.
Be the first to own this exclusive one of a kind 71"x24" (180x60 cm.) panoramic picture by Sergey Melnikoff “The Lunar Eclipse over the Caribbean Sea.”
Price is negotiable.
